Tesla Roadster Signature 100 44

After the Founder’s Edition (the first approximately 30 cars which were reserved for company owners, employees, friends, and family) come the Signature 100’s, the first 100 cars that were made available to the public. Each car features a carbon fiber plaque mounted between the seats carrying the signatures of Elon Musk and every Tesla employee (approximately 400 signatures). The plaque is individualized to each car with an inscription saying saying: ‘1 of 100’, or ‘2 of 100’, or ‘3 of 100’, and so on. This car is ‘44 of 100’. The vehicle also includes a ‘Tesla Roadster Signature 100 Limited Edition’ certificate, with a vehicle production number of 000044, which is signed by Martin Eberhard, CEO, and Elon Musk, Chairman. Also included is an acrylic block with an almost holographic looking laser cut three-dimensional image of a see-through Tesla Roadster floating inside, with the inscription ‘Tesla Roadster Signature One Hundred’. This car was also featured in the documentary Revenge of the Electric Car (a follow up to the documentary Who Killed the Electric Car?), which features Elon Musk and then a close-up of this car with a piece of paper taped to the windshield that says ’44’. On top of all that, this car has a one-off factory paint job. It’s black with a hint of deep red metallic (a few burgundy colored metal flecks inside the clear-coat floating above the black paint). The result is that the car appears to be black, but in the sunlight the edges and contours have a burgundy gleam, making it truly one-of-a-kind.
